With 4TB and 8TB usable capacity options, iodyne Pro Mini provides as much storage capacity as the largest internal laptop SSDs, 4x the capacity of a high-end camera SSD cartridge, and 8x the capacity of the largest Pro phone SSD. That’s enough space to store more than 36 hours of 4K footage in your pocket.

AirJet®
With a revolutionary solid-state cooling system powered by dual AirJet® modules, Pro Mini is the world’s first portable SSD to break through the thermal throttling limit of previous portable SSD designs. Silent, dynamic, self-cleaning, and protected from particles as small as 0.3μm, the unique cooling system enables Pro Mini to deliver unprecedented sustained performance and next-generation smarts.
Pro Mini features a unique Digital Label that allows you to personalize and customize a label for your drive without messy stickers, masking tape, and pens. The Digital Label’s 2.1″ E-paper display retains your customized label image whether the drive is on or off, even if left disconnected for years on a shelf. Your label can include project names, camera numbers, contact information, logos, QR codes, bar codes and more.
Pro Mini’s bus-powered USB-C port allows you to connect to almost anything, including phones, tablets, cameras, and computers. When you plug in, Pro Mini automatically detects the type of connection you’re using and its maximum speed, and adjusts accordingly. Pro Mini will operate as a USB 2.x device, USB 3.x device, USB 4 device, or Thunderbolt device, at speeds up to 40Gb/s, based on what type of connection you provide.
Unlike the cheap plastic and rubber used for typical SSD enclosures, Pro Mini features a triple-anodized machined aluminum chassis with an elegant industrial design. The scratch-resistant aluminum is complemented by phone-quality hardened glass protecting the Digital Label. Pro Mini is designed to be used indoors, outdoors, on-set, with the durability that Pros demand for their portable devices.
iodyne has brought its unique Containers technology from Pro Data to Pro Mini, making this available in a portable drive for the first time. To enable more advanced multi-platform workflows, you can optionally divide Pro Mini’s physical storage capacity into distinct logical containers, each formatted with a different filesystem type.
Toss the expendables. Your data deserves to live inside dependable and reusable technology that goes beyond storage and gives you security, control, and visibility.
With iodyne Cloud’s new Fleet Management service, you can manage and provision groups of Pro Mini devices for your projects. Fleet Management manages Digital Label and Container settings, lists of Authorized Users, and other device settings so you can apply them to a set of Pro Mini drives with a single click. Fleet Management also helps you manage your entire drive inventory, including Pro Mini, Pro Data, and even devices from other vendors that you already own. Add a Fleet Management Enterprise subscription to integrate with a single sign-on service like Okta, and the ability to remotely manage your Pro Mini in the field.
In place of insecure passwords, PIN codes, and keypads, Pro Mini provides the industry’s first implementation of secure Passkeys for a portable storage drive. Just like a modern website, Pro Mini allows multiple authorized users to establish personal and secure Passkeys that are stored in their computer or phone’s Secure Enclave. Your Passkey is used to securely unlock Pro Mini when it connects to your computer. You can also tap your phone on Pro Mini’s NFC transponder to unlock it, such as when you are temporarily granting access to another computer or camera.
Every byte of data passing into Pro Mini is secured with enterprise-grade XTS-AES-256 encryption, and protected with hardware-accelerated RAID-6 data protection, allowing Pro Mini to safeguard your data even if an entire internal NAND flash chip fails. Encryption keys are stored in a hardware Secure Enclave, and locked by Passkeys, so that a lost or stolen device cannot reveal your private data, even if the drive is disassembled or plugged into a hacker’s computer.
In addition to storing your secured and encrypted workflow data on the drive, and your customized Digital Label, Pro Mini can store customized workflow metadata that can be retrieved by iodyne’s iOS app through the NFC transponder, or viewed on a connected computer. Use Workflow Metadata to record times, dates, project codes, shipping locations, billing codes, and more. You can even connect Workflow Metadata with your own scripts and use it to drive automation in other tools.
