(Re-) Introducing iodyne Cloud

iodyne Cloud is a digital platform for managing your edge storage infrastructure. It brings together telemetry, inventory, and operational controls for edge devices that capture, move, and protect your data, all through a set of connected services you can access from anywhere.

Registering any iodyne device gives you access to an extended free warranty, support issue reporting and tracking, knowledge base articles, and advanced replacement parts for Pro Data.

Fleet Management enhances iodyne Cloud, with new capabilities to keep track of your entire storage inventory, including Pro Mini, Pro Data, and devices from other vendors that you already own. It addresses the operational questions teams face daily: Where is my drive? Who has access to it? Is it healthy? How quickly can it be replaced?

iodyne Cloud’s fleet management groups People and Devices into Projects. A Project can be as lightweight or as structured as your workflow requires. Quickly group a few drives and collaborators, or develop a more tailored environment with passkey access controls, custom metadata properties, and real-time workflow monitoring.

This structure gives admins and teams a shared source of truth: which devices belong to which project, who is responsible for them, and how and where they’re being used. As workflows scale, Projects keep everything aligned across departments, locations, and stages of production.

iodyne Cloud provides a centralized, structured alternative to legal pads and spreadsheets through fleet management, with device status and location visible at a glance, and access permissions tied directly to Projects.

The iodyne Mobile App extends fleet awareness beyond the browser to a mobile companion built for real-world workflows. Team members can view workflow metadata stored on their drives or associated with their projects, add active devices to a real-time Watchlist, and receive live status updates during offloads or transfers, without staying tied to a cart or workstation.

NFC scanning gives every device a physical identity linked directly to its digital record. Pro Mini includes a built-in NFC transponder as part of the Digital Label. Pro Data and third-party devices can be added to your fleet using NFC stickers, each containing a read-only, secure, unique serial number. Just apply stickers to products you already own, and then scan them with the mobile app to add them to your inventory.

Once registered and allocated to a Project, devices can be scanned as they move between locations, and team members can view workflow metadata properties assigned to each device or project: offload settings, cloud upload paths, project codes, contact information, and more. Pro Mini devices integrate with Apple and Google Find networks for physical location tracking in the field, and all devices check in with iodyne Cloud when scanned or connected to the iodyne Utility on macOS and Windows.

Access control is managed at the Project level and can be assigned to users or teams. Both Pro Data and Pro Mini use always-on XTS-AES-256 encryption. Fleet Management builds on this by defining authorized users per Project and assigning passkeys for each user, and a secure recovery code for each device. This makes permissions visible and auditable, ensuring the right people can unlock the appropriate devices consistently across your entire fleet.

Remote configuration allows you to coordinate and provision groups of Pro Mini devices as an integrated system. This includes Digital Labels and container settings, authorized user lists, and workflow-specific configurations, ensuring consistency across teams and productions without manual overhead.

For enterprise environments, an optional Enterprise subscription adds single sign-on integration (such as Okta) and the ability to remotely manage Pro Mini devices in the field.
