This yearâs NAB Show marked a major milestone for us. iodyne Pro Mini, the worldâs first Smart Drive, took home two industry awards:
đ„ CineD Best of Show for Streaming, Remote, and Cloud
đ„ ProVideo Coalition Grand Prix (Runner-Up)
These wins reflect a shift happening across production: performance alone isnât enough anymore. Device intelligence, control, and reliability at the edge are becoming essential.
Proven workflows on the show floor
At NAB, we gave the first hands-on demos of Pro Mini, and the response was immediate for the smart features that give visibility and control over the on-set process:
-
Passkeys and NFC Tap to Unlock
-
Digital Display – visitors played around with customizing the Pro Miniâs display
-
Find My Tracking – a beeping sound was clearly heard on the showfloor to easily locate the device
-
We showed real-time video playback on the Pro Mini
-
The Pro Mini dock prototype was actively connecting six Pro Mini devices
-
iodyne Cloud, Watchlist, Fleet Management, and iodyne iOS app demonstrated enterprise-level control of device inventory
On the Pro Data front, customers stopped by and told us some pretty cool stories from the edge:
-
A micro data center in a backpack
-
Preseason sports media workflows
-
Nature and wildlife filmmaking in remote locations
-
Ingesting camera media at up to 8.5 TB/hr when cloud isnât an option
-
Sustained performance while encrypted and RAID-6 protected
Powering post stations across partner booths
Beyond our own booth, Pro Mini and Pro Data were hard at work across the show floor. We partnered with RED and FilmLight to power live post-production workflows directly from set to color.
-
Real-time playback and grading pipelines
-
Reliable, high-speed shared media access
-
Compact, travel-ready infrastructure for demanding environments
