Pro Mini wins Best of Show at NAB 2026!

This year’s NAB Show welcomed 58,000 attendees and featured over 1,100 exhibitors. It also marked a major milestone for us. iodyne Pro Mini, the world’s first Smart Drive, took home two industry awards:

These wins reflect a shift happening across production: performance alone isn’t enough anymore. Device intelligence, control, and reliability at the edge are becoming essential.

At NAB, we gave the first hands-on demos of Pro Mini, and the response was immediate toward the smart features that give visibility and control over the DIT process on set.

• Passkeys and NFC Tap to Unlock

• Digital Label – visitors played around with customizing the Pro Mini’s display

• Find My Tracking – we showcased how the native Apple Find My app can locate your device on a map, as well as ring the device to easily find it

• We showed sustained real-time 8K video playback on the Pro Mini

• iodyne Cloud, Watchlist, Fleet Management, iodyne iOS app demonstrated enterprise-level control of device inventory

• A special product preview of our forthcoming Pro Mini Thunderbolt5 Dock, with support for up to 6 Pro Mini drives in a compact form factor

On the Pro Data front, customers stopped by and told us some pretty cool stories from the edge:

• A micro data center in a backpack

• Preseason sports media workflows

• Nature and wildlife filmmaking in remote locations

• Ingesting camera media at up to 8.5 TB/hr when cloud isn’t an option

• Sustained performance while encrypted and RAID-6 protected

Beyond our own booth, Pro Mini and Pro Data were hard at work across the show floor. We partnered with RED and FilmLight to power live post-production workflows directly from set to color.

• Real-time playback and grading pipelines

• Reliable, high-speed shared media access

• Compact, travel-ready infrastructure for demanding environments
